Back of the Yards High School 

Back of the Yards College Preparatory High School, situated in the historic Back of the Yards community, is an International Baccalaureate World School. Admission to the school is mandatory for all prospective students.

Freshmen and sophomores participate in the Middle Years Program (MYP) and have the option to choose their IB path in junior and senior years, which may include the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (DP) or the International Baccalaureate Career Programme (CP). Students engage in a diverse range of experiences that promote international mindedness within their comprehensive and rigorous studies. Additionally, students can opt to enroll in Advanced Placement (AP) courses.

The school provides numerous after-school opportunities, such as athletics and clubs, to cater to the diverse interests of students. Participation in these activities is highly encouraged as an integral component of the students' learning and high school experience.
