Antioch Township Lake County Illinois

Antioch Township, situated in Lake County, Illinois, is a town with a population of 27,745 as of the 2010 census. Established on November 6, 1849, it covers a total area of 42.2 square miles, with 7.4 square miles of that being water. This township boasts numerous lakes, including Antioch Lake, Benet Lake, Bluff Lake, and many more.  Antioch Township also include the following cities: Antioch, Fox Lake (east quarter), and Lake Villa (north edge)

The township is bordered by Newport Township to the east, Lake Villa Township to the southeast, and Grant Township to the southwest. It shares its western border with Burton Township in McHenry County.

For education, the township is served by several school districts, including Emmons School District 33 and Antioch Community Consolidated School District 34, offering a range of public elementary and middle schools. Additionally, Community High School District 117 provides education through Antioch Community High School for grades 9-12.
