School History, Colors, Mascot:

Located in the picturesque western Chicago suburb of Lombard, Illinois, Glenbard East High School opened its doors in September 1959 with an initial enrollment of 525 students and a dedicated faculty of 28 members. Today, our school proudly educates approximately 2,250 students with the support of a talented staff comprising 180 faculty members. Glenbard East has consistently upheld its reputation as a premier high school, renowned for its expansive academic offerings and diverse extracurricular programs. Our school's colors are a vibrant combination of red and black, symbolizing our rich history and spirit. The Ram serves as our beloved mascot, embodying the values encapsulated in the acronym "RAMS," which stands for "Right Attitude Means Success." Before the inauguration of Glenbard East in 1959, Lombard students in High School District 87 attended Glenbard West in Glen Ellyn, which was known at the time simply as Glenbard High School.
